PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an olefin-macromer-contg. copolymer which can be suitably used for modifying various resins by copolymerizing a copolymerizable compd. and an olefin macromer. ;SOLUTION: Any generally used free-radically polymerizable compd. can be used as the copolymerizable compd., examples being (meth)acrylic esters, alkoxysilane-group-contg. monomers, vinyl halides, vinyl esters, vinyl ethers, styrenic monomers, heterocyclic monomers, and various aldehydes. The olefin macromer is an olefin polymer having at least one terminal modified with a free-radically polymerizable double bond and has a double bond copolymerizable with a polymerizable monomer. Pref., the olefin-macromer-contg. copolymer has an average particle size of 0.01-1 m and a solubility parameter (SP value) of 6.5-8.5 (cal.cc-1)1/2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
