PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluctuating magnetic field shielding method for a superconducting magnet for magnetic levitation ground transit system, in which use of liquid helium in the course of running and at a time of excitation and demagnetization is reduced, the weight of a superconducting magnet is reduced, and shielding effect to fluctuating magnetic field of a thermal shielding plate is not reduced when the pitch of ground coils is larger than that of the present. ;SOLUTION: Objects where high temperature tape superconductors 10 are aligned in parallel are laminated and stuck on a thermal shield plate 3 and/or an inner tank of a superconducting magnet for magnetic levitated ground transit system. The high temperature tape superconductors 10 are objects with thicknesses of about 0.3 mm and widths of about 3-4 mm. Oxide based superconductor (Y-Ba-Ca-Cu-o, Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-o, etc.), is suitable as the material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
