PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection method for polyethylene pipes used for gas pipes and water service pipes which can improve the efficiency of construction work omitting a scrape process using an improved electrofusion method. ;SOLUTION: In this polyethylene pipe connecting method using an electrofusion fitting 1 by burying a coiled heating wire 2 in the joint face between a polyethylene pipe 3 and a polyethylene fitting and fusing a pipe and a fitting by electricity conduction, ethylene acrylic ester copolymer resin is used for a part or all of the fused part of the polyethylene pipe 3 and the polyethylene fitting.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
