PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To markedly simplify a production process by reducing the load in a recovery process, in the production of an optical data recording medium. ;SOLUTION: A coating soln. regenerating method includes a process for dripping a coating soln. containing a coloring matter and a fading preventing agent on the inner-peripheral side of the surface of a disc-shaped transparent resin substrate horizontally held in a spin coater to spread the same to the outer peripheral side of the substrate by the rotation of the substrate and discharging the excessive coating soln. from the outer peripheral edge part of the substrate to the outside to recover this coating waste soln. in a waste soln. recovery device, a process determining the contents of the coloring matter and the fading preventing agent in this coating waste soln. and a process adjusting the concn. of the coloring matter and the fading preventing agent in the coating waste soln. and that of the coloring matter and the fading preventing agent in the original coating soln. so as to allow them to coincide with each other in accuracy of two or more figures.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
