PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overpack having a small number of production processes, a high strength and a high corrosion resistivity performance. ;SOLUTION: The overpack 1 is provided with an outer container 2 formed in a cylindrical shape with bottom by extrusion fabrication, an inner container 3 consisting of a high strength metal provided inside, and an inner lid 4 and an outer lid 5. The outer container 2 and the outer lid 5 are formed out of a metal having corrosion resistivity performance and each part is joined by an electron beam welding. Thus, the outer container 2 is formed with ease a small number of steps, and for each joined part, since the electron beam welding is used, impurity is not mixed and corrosion resistivity is improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
