Disclosed is the use of bacteria of lactic acid fermentation for the preparation of an antigastritis and/or antiulcer agent exhibiting a capacity for moving pathogenic bacteria on intestinal and/or gastric cells. The agent incorporates therein bacteria of lactic acid fermentation, especially the Lactobacillus acidophilus CNCM I-1225 strain, or supernatants or a bacterial culture extract, and it can be present in the form of a pharmaceutical agent or in the form of a food substance, e.g. yoghurt.
