A doll (10) includes a torso (11), a neck (36), a head (14), and a pivotallycoupled arm (12). The head (14) defines a pair of eyes (15, 45) depicting openand closed appearances are pivotally supported behind the apertures (20, 46).A cam (72) driven mechanism is coupled between the pivotable arm and the eyemechanism to cause the doll to present an eyes open or eyes closed appearanceas a function of the pivotal position of the arm. A lock mechanism (81) isprovided for latching the eyes in an open configuration.
