PURPOSE: A displaying method and apparatus are provided which detect the channel showing children program on 2 tuner TV while watching it and display the number of channel for a certain period of time so that the channel showing children program could be identified. CONSTITUTION: A displaying method by detecting children program on 2 tuner TV comprising data decoder which decodes PDC(Program Delivery Control) code data transmitted with broadcasting signal comprises; a deciding step(S1) whether the children program detecting key is set while the TV is on; a deciding step(S2) whether the PIP(Picture in Picture) is off when the children program detecting key is set in the above step(S1); a deciding step(S3,S4) whether the children program code is detected selecting the subtuner channel using subtuner from the initial channel when the PIP is off in the above step(S2); a standing-by step(S7,S8) standing by certain period of time displaying the channel number showing the children program when the children program code is detected in the above step(S4); a returning step(S5,S6) returning to the above step(S4) after increasing 1 channel of the subtuner in the case the children program code is not detected in the above step(S4,S8) and the subtuner is not bigger than the final channel.
