PURPOSE: A device for processing transmission is provided to minimize the transmission time of an AAL1(ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) Adaptation Layer1) in a multi media communication system, and recover a signal source clock of a reception device. CONSTITUTION: A transmission processing device of an AAL1(ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) Adaptation Layer1) comprises: a user FIFO(First-In-First-Out) for storing data; a transmission section for generating a header of an SAR-PDU(Segmentation And Reassemble-Protocol Data Unit); a coupling buffer for temporarily storing the data outputted from the FIFO, and temporarily storing the SAR-PDU; an ATM FIFO for transmitting the SAR-PDU to an ATM layer. The transmission section comprises a header for charging the SAR header generation, according to basic cells when it is a normal mode, and according to a basic cell-1 when it is an SDT(Structured Data Transfer); a pointer generator for charging required pointer generation in the SDT, counting the user data numbers written in the FIFO; a data multiplexer for generating the SAR-PDU by multiplexing the data, inputted through the coupling buffer; a control signal generator for generating main control signals, related to reading, writing to the ATM FIFO, the header generation, and the pointer generation.
