METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REARRANGING CHANNEL WHILE TRANSFERRING IEEE 1394 ISOCHRONOUS DATA TO EXTERNAL SYNCHRONOUS NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method for rearranging a channel while transferring IEEE 1394 isochronous data to a synchronous network is provided to match the synchronization between networks by overcoming the difference between the IEEE 1394 network and the other networks. CONSTITUTION: A mapping table is prepared for representing the relationship between the channels of IEEE 1394 network and external synchronous network while establishing a call of the external synchronous network. And, channel order is read from the header unit of isochronous data to be transferred. Then, the channel order of the IEEE 1394 network is rearranged corresponding to the channel order of the external synchronous network while referring to the mapping table. Therefore, the isochronous data are transferred to the external synchronous network according to the rearranged channel order.
