PURPOSE: A turbo compressor is provided to a reduce windage loss with small diameters of a hard driving shaft and a rotor, and to improve efficiency of a motor and performance of a compressor. CONSTITUTION: A turbo compressor comprises driving shaft(100) integrated with a rotor of a driving motor and having an impeller to centrifugal compress coolant gas, and a radial bearing(200) having an aluminum bush(210) fitted in both sides of the driving shaft and inserted to an aluminum bearing housing(220), and the bearing housing fixed in a closed container by an elastic supporting member(230). Friction and wear between the bush and the bearing housing are reduced by coating a bearing face(200a) with aluminum oxide. The steel driving shaft endures loads of a rotor of the driving motor and the impellers, and passage resistance and the windage loss are reduced by the rotating shaft of the driving motor to have a small diameter and the rotor with a small diameter.
