PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a particle density Ti5Si3 intermetallic compound is provided, which is not only densificated as maintaining existing high temperature strength, high temperature oxidation resistance and high temperature creep properties but also not limited by the size and shape by the simple process due to powder metallurgy. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing a particle density Ti5Si3 intermetallic compound by powder metallurgy comprises the processes of mixing 65.1 to 74.0 wt.% of Ti powder with 22.9 to 26.0 wt.% of Si powder; and applying a pressure of 200 kgf/cm2 or more so that the mixture is pressurized and formed by applying a continuous low speed mono axial pressure near to the hydrostatic pressure using an extruder in the state that the outlet hole of the die is closed, thereby applying a pressure of 200 kgf/cm2 or more.
