THE APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING THE AUTO-DEGAUSSING OF TELEVISION

PURPOSE: An automatic degaussing control apparatus is provided to prevent a television from being influenced by a magnetic field from a magnetic body by performing a device effect using an additional degaussing coil when a magnetic field is detected from a magnetic body located around the television. CONSTITUTION: An automatic degaussing control apparatus applies a device current to a degaussing coil wound around a CRT apparatus to perform a device effect. An additional degaussing coil(7') is in parallel connected to the degaussing coil to perform a device effect. A magnetic field sensor(12) detects a magnetic field from a magnetic body(10) located near a corresponding television. A controller(14) controls the device effect of the degaussing coil by means of the power control operation for the television and also controls the device effect for the additional degaussing coil(7') when a magnetic field is detected by the magnetic field sensor(12). A transistor(22) is driven by a degaussing control signal for the magnetic field of the magnetic body(10) from the controller(14). A relay(24) is activated by the transistor(22) and forms a power path from the supply power for the additional degaussing coil(7'). A degaussing controller(20) applies a device current to the additional degaussing coil to perform a device effect under the control of the controller upon detection of the magnetic field of the magnetic body.
