The method is carried out so that data regarding structure and texture is obtained leading to a verdict regarding the condition of the object. At least one image from the object is taken, containing side views as well as plan views. The image taken is processed and evaluated, so that the structural and textural characteristics of the object can be derived, and a comparison with specified parameters can be undertaken. Finally leading to a quality assessment of the object.
