The transportable cooling box has an electrically operated refrigeration set. A temp. measuring unit can be arranged in an inner chamber and the temp. is indicated across a LCD indicator in the cooling box lid. The temp. measuring unit is arranged in an air flow of the cooling box induced by an air circulating system in the inner chamber. The temp. measuring unit can be arranged in the cooling box lid. The LCD indicator is equipped with a power supply, independently of the electrically operated refrigeration set. The set is provided with a Peltier element.
