A process for the production of a thermoplastically processable compound - material of natural polymers of the invention provides that, long-chain natural polymers having a predominantly thermosetting material properties by means of a chemical treatment with weak acids to form short-chain polymers with mainly thermoplastic material properties are cleaved. Such a compound - material to be processed thermoplastically, can be further processed or hemp.
