The display unit displays at least vocabulary item provided from the memory at time intervals controlled by the processing unit, e.g., matched to the rhythm of the working day of the user of the teaching device. The language teaching device (20) has a memory holding the vocabulary for at least one language, coupled to a display unit (14) for representation of the vocabulary stored in the memory, under control of a processing unit.
