The printer plate carrying cylinder (5) has a cylindrical sleeve (50) with sidewalls each having ball bearings (51) for a shaft (52). The whole assembly is mounted between side trunnions (55,56) with bolted supports to allow positioning and temporary fixing of the cylinder.
