PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lipped channel steel which can be used in the construction of a window frame and a connecting device for easily and securely connecting the shape steel members together into a T- or L-shape. ;SOLUTION: Each of lipped shape steel members A, B includes chamfered inclined wall parts 4a-5b formed at four corners of a vertical cross section opposite to its longitudinal direction, fastening holes 12, 13 are provided respectively in the shape steel mounting plate parts 8, 9 of an L-shaped main body 1, and inclined rising wall parts 10a-11b which abut to the inclined wall parts 4a, 5a or 4b, 5b of the channel steel members A, B but which do not project outward from both of the side wall parts 4, 5 of the channel steel are formed on both sides of each shape steel mounting wall part 8, 9. A fastener 2 comprises a bolt 14 which can pass through the fastening hole and a nut 15, with either the bolt 14 or nut 15 provided with an oblong washer part 16 which can abut to the inner surface of each lip part 6, 7 by fitting into the channel steel members A, B.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
