PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lipped channel steel which can be used in the construction of a window frame and a connecting device for easily and securely connecting the channel steel members together into a T- or L-shape. ;SOLUTION: Each of channel steel members A, B has inclined wall parts 4a, 5a at both corners of is side where lip parts 6, 7 are located, and each at the shape-steel mounting plate parts 8, 9 of an L-shaped main body 1 has curved side parts 10a-11b abutting to convex surfaces 4b, 5b at both corners of the back plate part 3 of each channel steel A, B, lower surface parts 12, 13, projecting parts 14, 15, and fastening holes 16, 17 provided in the projecting parts 14, 15. The projecting parts 14, 15 have respective channel steel back supporting surfaces 14a, 15a, and either the bolt 18 or nut 19 of a fastener 2 is provided with an oblong washer part 20 which can abut to the inner surface of each lip part 6, 7 by fitting into the channel steel members, so that positioning can be achieved by fitting the lip parts 6, 7 of the channel steel members A, B into the lower surface parts 12, 13 that are lower by one step between the curves side parts 10a-11b and the projecting parts 14, 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
