PURPOSE: To prevent biting or seizure of a turning scroll, and realize the highly reliable operation by forming a recessed part in a part where the thrust load is increased. ;CONSTITUTION: A scroll type compressor is provided with a non-turning scroll 13 provided in a sealed case 1 in an irrotatable and axially movable manner, a turning scroll 9 combined with this non-turning scroll 14 through a compression space 12, and a frame 2 to turnably support the lower surface of an end plate 9a of this turning scroll 9. An annular step difference 39 is provided in the center of the lower surface of the end plate 9a of the turning scroll 9, and a recessed part 40 to demarcate the prescribed clearance is formed between the supporting surface 2a of the frame 2 and the recessed part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
