PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make automatically obtainable a corresponding relation requested in Morphing processing by finding correlation between the feature point of a first facial picture and that of a second facial picture. ;SOLUTION: Two or more pictures A, B,... are obtained from two or more different viewpoints. The correlation of feature points is obtained between the picture A and the picture B. The shift quantity of the feature points having the correlation is obtained between the picture A and the picture B. When the shift quantity is large, the feature point is in a position close to a camera. When the shift quantity is small, the feature point is in a position remote from the camera. The feature point is classified (sorted) in accordance with shift quantity and the pictures are sequentially written from the picture whose shift quantity is the smallest. Since the nearby picture is substituted, it is displayed. Since the remote picture (hidden picture) is deleted by substitution, it cannot be viewed. Thus, a three-dimensional space picture can appropriately be reproduced without using depth information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
