PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an apotosis-accelerating gene such as ARL1 in abnormal cells causing for diseases such as cancers relating to genes corresponding to a complex system such as a human, mammal and the like, provide the gene as a medicinal agent and enable to carry out a novel gene therapy. SOLUTION: This method for detecting apotosis-accelerating gene in cells is to contrast a normal cell having apotosis-accelerating gene with an abnormal cell defected in the apotosis-accelerating gene obtained by mutation in a gene region and specifically detect the apotosis-accelerating gene in the region. The apotosis-accelerating gene which accelerates apotosis in abnormal cells such as cancers is incorporated in a predetermined expression vector to obtain this medicinal agent.
