PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll type straightening leveller with which the crowning of a metal plate is straightened with high accuracy.;SOLUTION: A crowning mechanism 10 consisting of plural crowning cylinders 11 for pressing upper back-up rolls 5b toward an upper work roll 5c with which straightening force for straightening the crowning of the metal plate is imparted is arranged in the longitudinal direction orthogonal to the conveying direction of the metal plate of the upper frame 5a for supporting the upper back-up rolls 5b. The crowning cylinder train is constituted so that the pressing force to the upper work roll 5c becomes weaker as a position is moved from the center position to the sides of both end parts by making the cylinders into large diameter crowning cylinders 11a in the center position, into middle diameter crowning cylinders 11b on the sides of end parts outside of them and into small diameter crowning cylinders 11c on the sides of the end parts furthermore outside of them.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
