PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary device for a bicycle transmission capable of operating the transmission easily with the minimum effort. ;SOLUTION: This auxiliary device using the force from a rotating member to assist the action of the bicycle transmission is provided with a fitting member, a cam member connected to the fitting member, a cam follower interlocked with the cam face of the cam member, a transmission operation means coupling for interlocking a transmission operation means with the movement of the cam follower, a first coupling connected to the cam member and moved between a first constraint position where the rotating member and the cam member are constrained and a first nonconstraint position where the rotating member and the cam member are not constrained, an acting member moving the first coupling, and a releasing member moving the first coupling to the first nonconstraint position according to the rotation position of the cam member.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
