APPARATUS FORT DECIDING LIFETIME OF DC FAN MOTOR IN AUTOMATIC VENDING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for deciding the state of a DC fan motor in an automatic vending machine in which countermeasures can be taken before the DC fan motor reaches the end of lifetime to cause an abnormality. SOLUTION: An automatic vending machine equipped with a PWM controllable DC fan motor M comprises a section 27 for storing a preset reference PWM value and a reference r.p.m. corresponding to the reference PWM value, means 23 for measuring actual r.p.m. of the DC fan motor M, means 31 for determining the relation between a reference r.p.m. corresponding to the reference PWM value and an actually measured r.p.m., and a section 26 for displaying information based on that relation. A decision is made whether the DC fan motor has approached the end of its lifetime and the probability of occurring a failure is high or not based on the reference r.p.m. and an r.p.m. actually measured with the reference PWM value.
