PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that unevennesses are caused in the base of a planting furrow and white Welsh onion seedlings cannot be planted at a constant depth because a planting device of a transplanter touches on side walls of the planting furrow to break down the side walls though the cultivation of the white Welsh onions is carried out by precutting the planting furrow at a suitable depth in a field, planting the white Welsh onions in the planting furrow with the transplanter, breaking down the side walls of the furrow according to the growth of the white Welsh onions and earthing up the planted white Welsh onions. ;SOLUTION: This white Welsh onion transplanter is obtained by installing wear plates capable of freely contacting the side walls of the planting furrow on both sides in front of the planting device of the transplanter. Thereby, the seedlings can safely and surely be planted while preventing the collapse of the side walls.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
