PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the capacity of a treatment process for adding a flucculant to jellyfish crushing water used in the crushing of jellyfishes to flocculate flocs to float the same. ;SOLUTION: In a jellyfish treatment method for lowering COD, jellyfish crushing water obtained after jellyfishes separated from seawater are crushed by a crusher is housed in a pressure floating separation tank 3 and an inorganic flocculant such as ferric chloride or liquid aluminum sulfate and a neutralizing agent are added to this jellyfish crushing water to flocculate and form flocs based on a jellyfish organic component and fine air bubbles, which are generated y ejecting water in which compressed air is dissolved into the jellyfish crushing water in the tank, are made to and here to flocs to forcibly float the flocs. As a polymeric flocculation auxiliary of the inorganic flocculant, CRIFLOC PA-331 (trademark) is used to still more certainly and rapidly form flocs to enhance the capacity of the pressure floating separation treatment of jellyfish crushing water and the practicality of a pressure floating treatment equipment is ensured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
