CONTACTLESS METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETECTING BODY OR ITS MATERIAL PROPERTY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a body or its material property under the most difficult circumferential condition. ;SOLUTION: In contactless inspection for the body or the material property, (A) an alternating current electric field is formed between a transmitter and a receiver, (B) the electric field is detected by a detector, (C) a detected measured value is evaluated by an evaluation method having following steps: (C.1.1) the lapse of time of a signal wave is found based on the detected measured value and (C.1.2) the found lapse of time of the signal is compared with the lapse of time of a reference signal, or (C.2.1) the maximum amplitude is found based on the detected measured value and (C.2.2) the found maximum amplitude is compared with the maximum amplitude of the referenc esignal, or (C.3.1) a phase is found based on the detected measured value and (C.3.2) the found phase is compared with a phase of the reference signal, and (D) the comparion is evaluated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
