PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily manufacturable low-cost ultrasonic wave guiding body for transmitting a high frequency ultrasonic signal up to 20 MHz with slight attenuation and scattering. ;SOLUTION: This ultrasonic wave guiding body is provided with a wound sheet. The layer thickness of the sheet is greatly thinner than a minimum wavelength of an ultrasonic signal ranged within a previously determined frequency area inside the sheet material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
