PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove bad smell caused by the leakage of a very small amount of ammonia gas from a gasket or the like, which is ascribed to deterioration of age, by sticking an ammonia adsorption member in a casing and adsorbing leaked ammonia gas to remove ill effects thereof by a static contact. SOLUTION: An ammonia section 25 of an ammonia refrigerating machine for air conditioning use is enclosed in a casing 10 in a closed state. An adsorption member 12 is stuck on the entire inner wall surface of the casing 10, and the adsorption member is formed with about 3 mm-thick adsorbent which consists of ammonia absorbing fibers of an ion-exchange resin material. A very small amount of ammonia gas leaked from any portions in the casing 10 is diffused in all directions in a short time so as to permit static contact to occur between the gas and the adsorption member 12 which is stuck on the inner wall of the casing 10, thereby preventing ammonia gas or bad smell from leaking outside.
