PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the manifesting efficiency of the oxidizing force of a photocatalyst and the regenerating efficiency of an adsorbent in a deodorizing element carrying the photocatalyst and adsorbent. The adsorbent 10 composed mainly of silica and alumina hardly absorb light, such as ultrasonic rays, etc., due to its white appearance even when the adsorbent 10 is irradiated with the light under the presence of an odor material and can efficiently project light upon the photocatalyst 11. Therefore, the manifesting efficiency of the oxidizing force of the photocatalyst 11 can be improved and the deodorizing speed of the odor material and the regenerating speed of the adsorbent 10 can be improved.
