The sterilizing machine has a body (1) made of heat insulation material. Set into the base of the body is an electrical heating element (3). The sterilizing chamber (2) is sealed off from the upper entrance of the machine by two shields. Both shields (4, 7) have apertures (5, 8) for insertion of the instruments (6) to be sterilized. The air gap (9) between the first and second shield plates has a negative pressure, maintained by a pump (P).
