The invention relates to a method for maintaining a synchronised upward signal transmission in a radio communication system. Said radio communication system supports a TD/CDMAT user separation method, for the signal transmission on a radio interface, between a base station and at least one user station, whereby said radio interface is organised according to a TDD method. A relative delay in the reception of a downward signal at the user station is determined, after an effective synchronisation and said delay is used to control the timing of the subsequent transmission of signals in the upwards direction.
