EXTRACTING PROCESS FOR TRANS-RESVERATROL INGREDIENT FROM PEONY SEED

PURPOSE: An extracting process for trans-resveratrol ingredient from Peony seeds is provided. The trans-resveratrol ingredient is contained in Peony seeds, which shows good anti-cancer effect, anti-inflammatory effect, anti-platelet effect, anti-blood clotting, anti-hyperlipoidemia effect and anti-oxidation effect. CONSTITUTION: A process for the extraction process of trans-resveratrol ingredient from Peony seeds comprises the steps of: pulverizing dried Peony seeds, adding n-hexane and extracting for 3hrs to eliminate lipids(repeating for 2times); extracting the lipid-removed residue for 2hrs after adding 80% water-soluble methanol; concentrating the methanol extract under decompression; leaving the solution in a refrigerator for a day, and filtering; transferring the filtered solution into a diaion HP-20-filled column, and dissolving out with water, 20% water-soluble methanol, 40% water-soluble methanol, 60% water-soluble methanol, 80% water-soluble methanol, and 100% methanol in order; concentrating the 60% methanol extract under decompression, and dissolving in methanol and transferring to sephadex LH-20-filled column; dissolving out with 200 fraction of methanol, and repeating concentration, and re-crystallizing to get trans-resveratrol crystal.
