DISTRIBUTION MEASURING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING PERFORMANCE BETWEEN MULTI-POINTS ON INTERNET NETWORK

PURPOSE: A distribution measuring apparatus and a method for analyzing a performance between multi-points on an Internet network are provided to instruct a network performance measuring to agents through an exclusive line by a manager using a distribution computing technique and independently perform a performance measuring operation by the agents for thereby remotely operating a measuring unit in each measuring point. CONSTITUTION: A manager(10) is installed in a center portion of the network and comprehensively manages a network performance measuring operation. Agents(1-N) installed in each point are constructed to independently operate based on the instruction of the manager(10). A control message is exchanged between the manager(10) and the agents(1-N) through an additional exclusive line, so that the flow of the control message is not affected by the performance of the Internet network, and a clock synchronization is used between the manager(10) and the agents(1-N). The agents(1-N) are in the standby mode and automatically perform the performance measuring operation based on the instruction from the manager and reports a result of the same to the manager.
