PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an artificial fishing reef that is constructed with oyster shells and pine rosin is provided to make more environmental-friendly as well as durable against seawater salinity fishing reef than conventional concrete fishing reefs that develop critical cracking and spalling properties as ettringite formation (3CaO Al2O33CaO32H2O) is processed by the reaction of SO4¬-2 existing in seawater and calcium in concrete fishing reef, resulting in the formation of toxic calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH2)). CONSTITUTION: The artificial fishing reef is manufactured by crushing oyster shells with a crusher; heating pine rosin to prepare a liquid phase rosin; mixing oyster shell powder with liquid phase pine rosin in a volume ratio of 1:1 in the temperature range of 100 to 150deg.C under a pressure range of 70 to 110kg/cm¬2, wherein a specific volume of salt, approximately one tenth based on the volume of oyster shell powder, is added to the above mixture to increase binding strength of raw materials; and then moulding according to conventional manufacturing method of artificial fishing reef.
