The resonator (1) has a piezoelectric element (2) in the form of a rectangular plate, stimulation electrodes (3,4,5) stacked transversely in or on the piezoelectric element with intervening piezoelectric layers, tapping electrodes (3a-5a) connected to and at the same height as the stimulation electrodes and an inductive electrode (3b-5b) mounted at at least one of the heights of the stimulation electrodes and in such a position that it is arranged about the corresp. stimulation electrode in a symmetrical relationship to the connected tapping electrode. An Independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing the resonator.
