The window cross-head has two parts (1a,b) that slide together to fit different thicknesses. And are clamped by saw-tooth profiles (1f) on the bars of the parts. The outside part (1a) has inner bars (1i,j) that engage the window frame to secure the cross-head to the window. The window cross-head has two parts, which slide into each other to fit different window thicknesses. Each part has two blades (1c,d), which form a long groove (1e). The top of the lower blade of the outside part (1a) has a saw-toothed profile (1f) pointing outside the window. The bottom of the upper blade of the inside part (1b) has a mating saw-toothed profile (1f) pointing inside the window, so that the parts can be clamped together to secure the cross-head to the window. The window side of the upper part has spaced short (1i) and a long (1j) bars extending downards, which each have a triangular catch nose (1k), to engage catch noses of the window frame, and fix the cross-head vertically to the window.
