In color photographic material with light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer(s) and an associated development inhibitor-releasing (DIR) coupler, the DIR coupler (I) has a 1,2,3-triazolyl or a tetrazolyl-5-thio inhibitor group, linked to the coupler directly or by a timing group.
