The key comprises a head plate (2) with fingers (1) and grip handle (5). The flanks of the fingers facing away from the rotary direction during opening are inclined opposite the direction of rotation at least underneath the plane of symmetry of the hand wheel so that the head plate is moved away from the hand wheel when the key is turned against the opening direction. The distance (d) between the underneath face of the head plate at the start of the angle of the fingers deviating from 90 degrees amounts to at least 5 mm. There are preferably 3 fingers and one finger forms a counter plate.
