X-ray diagnostic device comprises an X-ray source and an X-ray image amplifier-television monitor chain or some such X-ray image converter. During generation of sequential images, the X-ray source and image amplifier are moved in a cyclical fashion so that in a small image area in which a small change is to be identified, such as a stenosis, cardiac motion compensation can be effected.
