The frame, in particular, in the form of amovable window frame or a fixed frame in a window opening comprises frame profiles (1) whose surface (10) at least over certain areas is provided with a plastic foil (2) and/or a strip, especially a metal strip (3). Such a foil and/or strip are/is attached by an adhesive layer. Also claimed is a method for producing such a frame. It involves application of plastic foils to surfaces consisting of a hard foam material.
