The stop system for a printing machine sheet stacker comprises a main stop (3) ensuring exact positioning of the front edge of the sheet and an end stop(10) for the back edge. A flexible strip (16) is used as an auxiliary stop. This is connected to the end stop and passes from a storage roller (17) over a roller (15) which diverts it towards the end stop.
