The headlamp has an electric lamp (5) that radiates light out through a cover panel (7) and an optoelectronic light receiver (1) that receives light reflected inwards from dirt on the outside of the cover panel and outputs a signal depending on the light received. The light receiver is connected to an event-driven electronic filter unit (2) with external control inputs (S1) and control outputs connected to a display unit and to a cleaning device.
