Processing signal for digital levelling gauge, using only pixel data provided by sensor elements within limited area of image sensor surface during adjustment of levelling gauge

The method handles signals provided by sensor elements of an image sensor (5) positioned in the image plane of an objective (4), which are arranged in rows and columns, one of which extends in the measuring direction. The pixel data are provided by sensor elements within a limited area positioned symmetrically on the left and right sides of the optical axis processed during adjustment of the levelling gauge. The image sensor is a matrix-like range of CCD elements or CMOS elements. An independent claim for a signal processing device for a digital levelling gauge is also included.
