A process for cleansing a heatable conduit (7), esp a hose for conveying hot-melt adhesives, comprises inserting a go-devil (9) into one end of the conduit, and forcing it along under pressure to the other end. Deposits are removed and are pushed in front of the go-devil, whose end rests on the inside of the conduit. The go-devil has a rotationally symmetrical body, and the ends are adapted to the inner cross section of the conduit so that the outside of the go-devil rests tightly on the inside of the conduit over its entire circumference.
