The folding release device has a front connecting piece(40) attached to the upper end of each one of the two front legs(10). An extension(45) projects from the second end of the front connecting piece and has a locking hollow chamber(46). A hollow rear connecting piece(50) is attached to the lower end of each one of the two slide rods(13) and can pivot on the upper end of one of the two rear legs(11). A connecting sleeve(14) is attached by its first end to the lower end of each one of the two slide rods and its second end pivots on the front connecting piece. A locking rod(16) is movable in the connecting sleeve and is detachably housed in the hollow locking chamber. A sliding yoke(60) is movable in the rear connecting piece for movement of the locking rod to release it from the locking chamber. A pushbutton(59) pivots on the upper side of the rear connecting piece for pushing down of the sliding yoke, and a safety button(70) in the rear connecting piece prevents movement of the yoke.
