A method of co-ordinating control of electronically controlled automatic clutch and electronically controlled vehicle engine components installed in the transmission line of a vehicle during torque reduction during a gear change in the transmission of the transmission line. The control of the transmission line (14) (a) predetermines for the assisted clutch (12) a setpoint curve for the clutch output torque (mdka, cons (t)) and (b) fixes a curve of motor output torque setpoint (mdma, cons (t)) corresponding to the clutch output torque setpoint curve (mdka, cons (t)).
