PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of the initial value for judgment by setting the initial value for judgment by an initializing means on the basis of the provisional initial value obtained using the detection signals of wheel speed sensors. ;CONSTITUTION: Pulse signals from the wheel speed sensors 51-54 of four wheels 1-4 are inputted to a control unit 50, and each wheel speed is computed and memorized by the operation of an initialization switch 55 so as to judge turning, acceleration/deceleration, a low μ road and a bad road. According to the judged result, judgment variables are computed, and the average of ten groups of judgment variables in the past is stored in a memory, and on the basis of this, the initial value for judgment is set. The initial value for judgment can be thereby set with accuracy so as to heighten the accuracy and reliability of tire pneumatic pressure judgment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
